I went to college on a track scholarship and came home with a great education and a new found gift.
I've always been interested in drawing and photography since I was younger but it wasn't untill college that I was given the opportunity to discover painting. I had an incredible professor that taught me to explore new things and not to be afraid of getting a little messy. His name is Professor Carol from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. He pushed me to find this gift inside of me, without his patience and friendship I wouldn't have been able to explore myself and find this talent.
After graduation, I moved back home and was afraid to market my paintings even though I knew it was a huge part of who I am. In November 2008, I was given the opportunity to rent studio space at Neo Studios in the Art District. After dragging my heels for 4 years after college, I pulled together my marketing material within a week to get ready for the First Friday Event downtown on Santa Fe. Ever since then, I've had the courage to market my gift.
Aside from painting, I work in the commercial real estate industry and create graphic design and marketing materials for some of the largest developments/office parks in Colorado. I have worked on the following properties over the past 5 years: Stapleton, Northfield at Stapleton, Anthem, NorthPoint, HighPoint, Lowry, Arista, HighPointe, Denver West and many more.
